Men by definition are those who can defend their family, their community, their faith and their country. Women by definition are those who stay faithful to their men in their men's quest to defend the above.

So technically, if an Earthling girl marries a Martian boy, she will be pledging her alliance to Mars and everything Martian. While the boy will continue to defend his family (which now includes the wife), their children, his surname, his community, faith and the planet Mars. If one day, the Earth and Mars go to war, it is expected that this new couple, their offsprings and all, will side with Mars.

In an ideal universe/world, there should be no conflicts and such choices need not be made. But in this real-God created real-world, conflict, disputes, domination, suppression, colonialization, war and bloodshed are as omnipresent as air and water.

So what happens if, and when, men become COWARDS. When they think that it is hard to survive being what they are at birth and so decide that they can just sell out their family, their community, their faith and at some point, if necessary, their country so that they can have an easy access to the good life.

This is what happens.

When a grandfather, a father, a brother, a husband, a son or a grandson betrays his own kind, and takes that betrayal path so that he, and only he flourishes in new gains, he leaves behind his own kind to take a loss like no other. A shame like no other. Because we all know what happens when we change sides. We KNOW what happens to the team whose player declares mid-game that he is crossing over to the opponent's side because the opponent's side has got cute cheerleader girls, because the opponent's side are giving big handouts to their players, and worst of all, because the opponent's side are on a winning streak.

I don't understand the make of such betrayers and traitors. I don't understand why people would leave behind 20-30 years of life experience, culture, people, love, sacrifices of close ones for a quick ascent to victory. What kind of ill-gotten victory is that. It is not even real victory. A fallen hero, despite fallen, is still a HERO because he stayed on until his last breath to fight for the beliefs he grew up on. No one becomes a hero changing sides. The biggest defeat is not going home empty-handed, beaten or dead, the biggest defeat is NOT FIGHTING for what God has decided for you at birth - faith and all. You are actually giving up on YOU. No defeat like that.
